I Gotta Cool New Toy! Don't ya just love love LOVE new toys and gadgets? I do - hence the excitement. Today my loverly kind boyfriend bought me something I've been hankering after all year - a new Kindle! It's so cool, I just love it and cannot believe how brilliantly simple it is. Here are my favorite things so far: First off its lighter than a paperback book - it makes it so comfy for reading in bed. Secondly the display - I thought there was a sticker overlay on it - it doesn't look REAL!!!!!! It's so clear and even when I'm sat on a lounger in the sunshine I can still read it easily - much better than my boyfriends tablet computer which is genius and fab for games but totally USELESS outside! Thirdly there are just so many cool books for it, and thousands are free. Now loads of those freebies are stuff I'd never want to actually read, but some of them are great. I loved the Count of Monte Cristo but have never seen many other Dumas books around (except the 3 Muskateers and that is not my thang at all). Now I am reading the Companions of Jedu and it is a little hard going but great for a change (and even better for free!). It's kinda pretty, but what is great is that there are tons of new cases and covers you can buy for it. I got the hot pink leather one with the light inside - its brill at bed-time! Fifthly (is that a word?) it is just a great incentive to read more and that can't be bad can it? Oh, this is cool having a journal and its insane! Current Mood: excited (Comment on this)
